What is WorkHub?
WorkHub is a multi-sheet workspace that lives directly inside every Jira issue panel. Instead of bouncing between Confluence, spreadsheets, chat tools, and sticky notes, your team has everything they need — right where the work happens.
The core idea
Think of WorkHub like having Excel worksheets inside a Jira issue — except each sheet is purpose-built for a specific type of work:
| Sheet type | Best for |
|---|---|
| 📊 Data Grid | Tracking data, mapping to Jira fields, structured info |
| 📝 Rich Text | Meeting notes, PRDs, runbooks, documentation |
| ✅ Checklist | Tasks, action items, sprint to-dos |
| 💬 Discussion | Design decisions, Q&A, threaded team conversations |
Who is it for?
- Project managers who want sprint planning checklists and meeting notes on the epic itself
- Developers who need a scratchpad grid with rows and columns
- Designers who want to capture design decisions in discussion threads on the story
- Anyone who has ever pasted a wall of text into a Jira description and regretted it
Key principles
Stays in Jira. WorkHub is an issue panel — not a separate app, not a new tab, not a different tool. It appears directly below or alongside your issue.
Private or shared. Every sheet can be set to Public (visible to your whole team) or Private (just for you). Your personal notes stay personal.
Zero setup. Install from the Marketplace and WorkHub appears on every issue automatically. No configuration required to get started.
No external services. All data is stored in Atlassian Forge Storage — it never leaves Atlassian's infrastructure.
How WorkHub differs from Confluence
Confluence is great for standalone knowledge bases and long-lived documentation. WorkHub is for the in-progress, issue-specific context that lives and dies with that piece of work — the meeting notes from your standup on NOT-47, the acceptance criteria spreadsheet for that epic, the deployment checklist for this sprint.
