Replying and Nested Threads

Discussion Threads support two levels of conversation: replies to a topic, and replies to individual replies. This nesting keeps sub-conversations organised without cluttering the main thread.

Replying to a topic

  1. Open a topic by clicking on its card
  2. Click the Reply button at the bottom of the topic
  3. Type your reply in the text field (supports the same formatting as topics, including @mentions)
  4. Click Post reply

The reply appears below the topic body and the topic's activity timestamp is updated.

Replying to a reply (nested thread)

  1. Find the reply you want to respond to
  2. Click Reply below that specific reply
  3. Type your nested reply and click Post reply

Nested replies are indented under their parent reply to visually distinguish them from top-level replies.

Nesting depth: Replies can be nested up to two levels ā€” a reply to a reply. Further nesting is added at the second level rather than creating additional indentation.

Editing a reply

  1. Click the ā‹Æ menu on the reply
  2. Select Edit
  3. Update the text and click Save

You can only edit your own replies.

Deleting a reply

  1. Click the ā‹Æ menu on the reply
  2. Select Delete
  3. Confirm the deletion

Deleting a reply that has nested replies under it replaces its content with [Deleted]. The nested replies remain visible.
