Frequently Asked Questions

General

Q: Does WorkHub work on all Jira issue types? Yes — WorkHub appears on every issue type: Stories, Bugs, Epics, Tasks, Sub-tasks, and any custom issue types in your project.

Q: Is WorkHub Cloud-only? Yes. WorkHub is built on Atlassian Forge and is available for Jira Cloud only. Data Center and Server are not supported.

Q: How many sheets can I have per issue? Up to 20 sheets per issue. You can mix and match sheet types freely.

Q: Can I see another user's Private sheets? No. Private sheets are only visible to the person who created them. Even Jira administrators cannot view Private sheets belonging to other users.

Q: What happens to my data if WorkHub is uninstalled? All WorkHub data stored in Atlassian Forge Storage is permanently and irreversibly deleted when the app is uninstalled. There is no way to recover data after uninstallation.

Data Grid

Q: How many rows can a Data Grid have? There is no hard limit set by WorkHub. Practical limits are determined by Atlassian Forge Storage quotas, which are generous for typical use cases.

Q: Can I map multiple columns to the same Jira field? No. Each Jira field can only be mapped to one column per grid. Attempting to map a second column to the same field will show an error.

Q: Does push to Jira update all issues or just the current one? Only the current issue. Each WorkHub panel operates in the context of a single Jira issue.

Checklist

Q: Can checklist items have sub-items? No. The Checklist sheet does not support nested items. For hierarchical tasks, use multiple checklist sheets or promote items to Jira subtasks.

Q: Do reminders work if the item has no assignee? Yes. If no assignee is set, the reminder notification goes to the sheet owner (the person who created the checklist sheet).

Discussion Threads

Q: Can I edit a topic title after posting? Yes. Click the ⋯ menu on the topic card and select Edit. Both the title and body can be updated.

Q: Are resolved topics deleted? No. Resolved topics are archived — they are hidden from the main discussion list by default but can be viewed by clicking Show resolved at the bottom of the sheet.

Privacy and Security

Q: Does Paperplane Apps have access to my WorkHub data? No. All WorkHub data is stored exclusively in Atlassian Forge Storage, which is part of Atlassian's infrastructure. Paperplane Apps has no access to your data outside of the Forge platform context.

Q: Is WorkHub data included in Atlassian's data residency programme? Yes. WorkHub uses standard Forge Storage, which supports Atlassian's data residency programme. If your Atlassian organisation has data residency configured for a specific region, WorkHub data will be stored in that region.

Support

Q: How do I contact support? Email us at [email protected]. We typically respond within one business day.
