Quick Start — Your First Workspace

This guide takes you from a fresh install to a fully configured workspace on a Jira issue in under 5 minutes.

What you'll build

By the end of this guide you'll have:

  • A Checklist sheet for tracking action items
  • A Rich Text sheet for meeting notes
  • Both sheets saved and visible to your team

Step 1 — Open a Jira issue

Navigate to any issue in your Jira project. Scroll down past the description — you'll see the WorkHub panel.

On a fresh install the panel is empty. You'll see a prompt to create your first sheet.

Step 2 — Create a Checklist sheet

  1. Click + New sheet (or the + in the tab bar)
  2. Select ✅ Checklist
  3. Name it Action Items
  4. Leave privacy set to Public
  5. Click Create

The checklist opens immediately. Click + Add item and type a task — for example, Review project brief. Press Enter to add more items.

Step 3 — Create a Rich Text sheet

  1. Click + in the tab bar
  2. Select 📝 Rich Text
  3. Name it Meeting Notes
  4. Click Create

The Rich Text editor opens. Click Templates in the toolbar and select Meeting Notes to pre-fill a structure. Fill in the date and attendees.

Step 4 — Switch between sheets

Click any tab at the top of the WorkHub panel to switch between your sheets. Both sheets are now saved and visible to anyone with access to this Jira issue.

What's next?

  • Add due dates and priorities to checklist items — see Due Dates and Overdue Indicators
  • Set a sheet to Private if you want personal notes — click on any tab and select Privacy
  • Create a Data Grid sheet to track structured data with Jira field sync
